Other highways of significance include State Route 68, which links U.S. Route 101 to the cities of the Monterey Peninsula and State Highway 1 along with State Route 183, which provides access to Castroville.

Salinas Municipal Airport is located approximately 16 miles north of Gonzales and is easily accessed via U.S. Route 101. The airport is a general aviation facility with three runways serving single and twin-engine aircraft and helicopters.
